Diagnosis

No diagnosis of this distinctive species, the only Stenocypha west of the Congo Basin, is presently available.

Habitat description

Streams and headwaters shaded by forest. Often with a gravelly, sandy and/or soft (like muddy) bottom and probably submerged roots, dead trunks or branches, and/or coarse detritus. From 0 to 1300 m above sea level.

confirmed: Cameroon; Central African Republic; Congo-Brazzaville; Democratic Republic of the Congo; Equatorial Guinea; Gabon
