Diagnosis

No full diagnosis of this species is presently available, although the male is easily identified by the bright yellow coloration and distinctive cerci. Please refer the references provided.

Habitat description

Mostly standing waters, but also rivers, in open areas in forest, but sometimes in open landscapes. Often with coarse detritus, a sandy and/or soft (like muddy) bottom and probably blackwater. From 0 to 600 m above sea level.
