Neurogomphus martininus (Lacroix, 1921)

Diagnosis

Male is similar to N. alius by (a) ranging from C DRC to Cameroon; (b) size, Hw 36-41 mm; (c) occiput notched in middle; (d) dark stripes on sides of thorax wider than pale ones; (e) 16-20 Ax in Fw; (f) lateral tooth of cerci (almost) indiscernible. However, differs by (1) postclypeus and thorax anterior of collar black rather than green; (2) mesepimeral stripe more extensive than metepisternal stripe; (3) posterior hamule 5-6x (rather than 2-3x) as long as wide; (4) Pt smaller, with 3.0-3.2 mm. Habitat description

Rivers in open areas in forest. Probably often with a soft (like muddy) bottom. From 300 to 500 m above sea level.
