Type locality: Lubumbashi, DRC

Diagnosis

Male is similar to N. featheri by (a) labrum pale, usually with darker centre; (b) occiput not notched in middle (although often deticulate), all pale, and often with denticulate border; (c) sides of thorax mainly pale; (d) humeral suture covered by pale stripe, bordered anteriorly and posteriorly by narrow dark stripes; (e) 11-17 Ax in Fw; (f) S3-7 with continuous pale dorsal stripe; (g) lateral tooth of cerci usually prominent. However, differs by (1) being restricted to Katanga; (2) larger size, Hw 32-34 mm; (3) occiput over 2x wider than high; (4) posterior hamule stout rather than slender. Habitat description

Not known, but probably rivers or streams in open landscapes. Probably often with a soft (like muddy) bottom. Recorded at around 1300 m above sea level.
