Diagnosis

The only species currently recognised in this genus. Please refer to the genus diagnosis and introduction for more information.

Habitat description

Standing and often temporary waters, rivers and possibly flowing channels in marshes in open landscapes, open areas in forest or shaded by gallery forest. Usually with emergent and often aquatic vegetation. From 0 to 1800 m above sea level, but mostly below 900, although possibly up to 2100.
